Stuttgart High School is like a variety pack of halloween candy. You have the Kit Kats, the Butterfingers, and the 100 Grand bars; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here at Stuttgart you have the sports, the clubs, and the facilities. Here we goOur school crushes the competition when it comes to sports. We have in recent years been either first, second, or third in most European competitions. In this recent year, the JV football team went nearly undefeated, the volleyball team both JV and Varsity were undefeated this season, and finally, the Cross country team was astounding with the girls team taking home a 1st place award and guys following behind with a 2nd place award. These sports dont just represent the fall season either, we are very successful throughout the winter and spring, through our extensive involvement as leaders in basketball, track, and soccer. Stuttgart High School is also chalk-full of clubs. We currently have over 30 clubs to satisfy everyones personal hobbies and interests. Most of these clubs meet during lunch on different days, however, some clubs like robotics club continue meeting after school as they compete in a competition against other robotic clubs. With joining these clubs, you have no lonely lunches and become part of a family (cult), even multiple families giving you a great gateway into the true Stuttgart High School Experience. Some other remarkable clubs include the Kiva Club, debate, Poets Corner, FBLA, Red Cross, and the anime club. Now we go on the ugly...The facilities of any school are vital to the experience of the pupils who spend 7-8 hours inside them from Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, this area is one in which Stuttgart High School falls short. The tall barbed-wire fences, along with the grey and desolate sement interior, gives the school the look and energy not far from a federal prison. The 800 glazed-eye students who graze the halls daily with a total lack of energy only to serve to contribute to this mournful atmosphere. Additionally, the restroom facilities at this school leave a lot to be desired. Despite an attempted bathroom overhaul by the janitors over the summer, many of the bathrooms still remained filled with scrawls of Kilroy and Beam me up Scotty on the walls, cracked toilet seats, and feces thrown throughout. Finally, the facilities shelter wide temperature variation throughout the year. Unlike many American schools, Stuttgart High School has never known the glories of air conditioning. During the first and last months of the school year, the school suffers from sweltering heat and suffocating humidity, which only serves to fit the narrative that this school is practically a prison work camp in Georgia. The faculty is okay tho.
